Revelations in the Christian Bible were full of cryptic prophecies, but a few stand out. COVID? 6 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. I may be grasping as straws, but the shot in the right arm could match. I know by experience (and we all have the ability) that psychic images in our hea…

Written long ago, are the Emerald Tablets of Hermes Trismegistus...The following from a tablet entitiled.. ................................................................................................... The Key of Time List ye, O man. Take of my wisdom. Learn of the deep hidden mysteries of space. Learn of the Thought that grew in the abyss, bringing Order and Harmony in space. Know ye, O man, that all that exists has being only because of the Law. Know ye the Law and ye shall be free, never be bound by the fetters of night. Far, through strange spaces, have I journeyed into the depth of the abyss of time, learning strange and yet stranger mysteries, un…

Most of the passages in Christian Scripture are allegories and metaphors. To support this statement, I'm going to use the allegory of Adam and Eve from the Book of Genesis. The very FIRST fact to be aware of is that there are numerous variations. To become more familiar with any verses in Scripture it is a good idea to compare several versions, ex. KJV, NIV, Amplified Bible, etc., to make note of the differences. The BEST method to use is to find the oldest versions possible, since those are closer to the era when many of the books were written. Copy of a copy of a copy comes to mind with the more modern versions of Scripture. Another factor invol…

Humans are not perfect and are more or less free, but we must deal with the consequences of our actions. It is easy to blame the snake in the Adam and Eve story, but Eve made her own decision to eat the apple. She then had to deal with the consequences of her decision. Did God then destroy all freedom? No. He still allows us to make mistakes and deal with the consequences. This is precisely why I believe in freedom of speech and other freedoms. We do not need someone else's morality shoved down our throats. Each person should be free to say what they want and be expected to handle the consequences. Each person can decide their own right or wrong. Animals do th…

This is partially relgious, so I wasn't even sure where to put this. I believe every living creature has a soul because I believe consciousness is the soul. From a Christian standpoint, the Bible says this: " Ecclesiastes 3:19-20 For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity. All go to one place. All are from the dust, and to dust all return." I wonder if you can contact and talk to animal spirits the way you can talk to human ones.

I personally believe anything with consciousness has a soul. From a Christian standpoint, we have articles like this: https://www.biblesprout.com/articles/christian-life/animals-eternal-souls/?fbclid=IwAR1AiMAckzpb9RuqDhMQdXEkX3IVP08ShgigtJmbvqVWCl5k53lagEzQTlY These articles say that the following Bible entry means animals don't have souls: " said in my heart with regard to the children of man that God is testing them that they may see that they themselves are but beasts. For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for…

Note: This is not meant to be a religious thread per se or a heavily religious debate Many pray to a deity of some sort. I am beginning to believe that prayer can possibly change your reality. Example: You are afraid humanity will die from the comet zooming by. So, you pray heavily to your deity. If he decides to help, he will save your world in YOUR reality only, and others' who have prayed or have fulfilled the deity's will. Non-prayers may experience armageddon. This ties into multiple time lines and time travel really well, in my opinion. Basically, you are creating another time line that splits off. The only problem with my theory is this: What is going o…

I read and saw a video yesterday about yet another area that people are hearing strange sounds in the air. I find this very interesting so I have tried to find more information on it. I found a radio blog by Linda Moulton Howe that saws that they think this is from seismic activity, some articles think it is from fracking. I personally have no idea what it is but I have heard it and at the time I wondered if perhaps I was getting an ear infection or something. It is scary stuff, is it possible it is the seven trumpets marking end times?

In a thread under the Time Travel section, a question came up about whether a "mind" requires a "soul." I pointed out that, before such a question could be approached scientifically, we needed to agree to an objective definition of "mind", and with that in hand we would likewise need a similarly objective definition of "soul" before we could explore the larger question. Let me begin by offering a few links for current dictionary definitions for mind (not saying any are sufficient as is, just a literature substantiation for the start of our discussion): http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/mind Mind - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary…

I am Christian. I've finally noticed that *every time* I have an intense prayer session that includes traditional written prayers, I am either shown a rainbow or a homeless person within a few days. This happens every single time. One rainbow was seen on a dry day. Yes, Florida is very humid, so it isn't impossible, but it was the day after an intense prayer session. I now make sure I acknowledge the homeless person. I give them a phone number to the charity I work for (they provide housing, food, clothing, bill assistance) as well as a snack if I have one. I decided to pray before work this week and not only did my work days go fantastic, the kids and I saw…

I had read an article long ago, to where a man was out for a walk and where he was traveling was open fielded, but descended slightly in the grassy hill topography. This traverse past a line of tall popular trees, ..from what I remember of the article. As he walked parallel to the line of trees, he noticed what seemed to be a youth in the distance by these trees. The being to where the top half of this being looked human. So he chose to close the distance getting closer to what this creature was. When this fellow was pretty near him, he stopped. this was because he had noticed that the lower half of him, appeared to be an upright standing goat of some kind. Getting clo…

Since the title song of this thread has an Ecclesiastes theme, I decided to include a second song that has a biblical reference. I’m not exactly sure about what is the first selection while, though silly, the upbeat latter reminds me of Jonah and the whale.

First, I do not wish this to be a debate thread because nobody can prove what we are discussing. My intention for this thread is for people who believe we have a soul to think outside the box and discuss what they believe the soul is. Let's not make this about religion, please. Let's keep it scientific if possible. My own explanation of a soul is simple, I will admit that. I am not a neurologist and everyone except 2 people here won't expect me to be (lol!!). I also have no scientific journals or papers to throw at you because again, we are just having a friendly discussion. Here goes. Energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Our m…

I am not an apologist for the Papists, but the Roman Church has long since denounced the geocentric view, and has some very good astronomers. I also find it astounding that anyone believes that there is any conflict between science and religion. Bad science and bad religion, perhaps. There are multiple creation myths (not a bad word, by the way) in the Bible, read the one in the Gospel of John. The primary one in Genesis is consistent with evolution, even the Darwinian theory. For a mature understanding of the nature of myth, read Hamlet's Mill.

To celebrate Easter 2015, let's have a look at the infamous 3D image on the Shroud of Turin again, on it is a crucified man with blood stain and various marks that strangely resemble to Jesus Christ's journey to the cross to die for the sins of mankind. This cloth was traditionally viewed as the burial cloth of Christ when his body was laid into the tomb. There is no paint on the cloth and there is a two side image of the same man, one showing the front and the other showing the matching image of his back. It seems to be the same cloth was wrapped on top and bottom of the man and some radiation/light source projected the image of the person onto the cloth. But if it was…

I wish to enter into this time-old debate. I see it no where else here ... and it seems *some* of you wish to align "god" with time travel ... Present some arguments for/against - and I will do same later.
