A Warning from1908

Recommended Posts

Hello.

My name is Adam. I have lived among you for 9 years. I left on June 30th, 1908 at Krasnoyarsk Krai. You would call this the Tunguska Event.

Something must have gone wrong, they were supposed to bring me back after three weeks. I was here four days before I read about Krasnoyarsk Krai. I doubt I am ever going back.

The Visitors who arrived and bought us together told us that the potential for devastating world-wide war here would be coming soon, war that could wipe all life off the face of the planet. They were right.

First there was World War 1, then World War 2. The Cold war should have finished us off, I've studied them all and cannot believe how close we were to our own demise. The Cuba Missile event alone should have triggered the end.

We are on the verge of another, I can tell. If there's one thing we are good at, it is following in out father's footsteps. Can't you see you are all the same? Can't you embrace each other, and overlook the minor differences that make you all so unique? You are so lucky to live in a world where people can touch each other so easily, and the first thing you do is show your ugly side. There is so much you can learn from yourselves, yet you refuse to listen. For your own sake, stop this madness.

I only hope the Visitors come and take me home, if they aren't afraid of coming here again, and the way things look, that might not be a possibility. I miss my home so much.

I will not come back here, and I know that you will doubt me, especially with others claiming to come from thousands of years in the future. This is only a warning, so please heed it, and spread the word.

Did you know the reason for the Tunguska event is because Nikoli Tesla made a mistake? He meant to give Admiral Byrd a fantstic Aurora Borilais show when he was exploring the North pole...Instead he overshot and blew up a large forest of Russia.

Hey, tovarich...did they also warn you that you probably wouldn't miss home all that much in six or seven years, what with the moldy Potemkin potatoes and the pogroms?

Yikes...yet another damned Tsarist tourist with an attitude. Will they ever stop coming here?

Oh, and yes. We will surely spread the word. And as titorite said, Byrd is the word.

Zzzzzzz.....

Hello,

I wish you would not leave so abruptly. There are those who are skeptical and there are those who are gullible, lol. By the way, even if your not going to come back I give you my warm regards, "Welcome to the 21st century!"

Thank you,

/CD

P.S

I did a little investigation about this user. His IP Address is in the U.S of North Carolina.

  • 5 weeks later...
  • 1 month later...

Well Eistein was wrong about a lot of stuff like the speed of light being constant... And I don't think that Tunguska was Tesla's doing as HARP is similar to what he was working on and it hasn't blown anything up yet... Oh and how long did it take for you to learn how to use a computer, and if they do show back up to take you back are you going to try to change anything??? since nothing has changed here then I think that you are stuck here...

Well Eistein was wrong about a lot of stuff like the speed of light being constant

You mean when he reiterated what came before him that the speed of light in a vacuum is a constant for all inertial observers?

It was actually James Clerk Maxwell in about 1861 who is credited with correctly predicting the speed of light in vacuuo not Einstein.

That the speed of light through a non-vacuum medium is variable is a long established scientific fact. Snell and Descartes correctly derived this in the early 1600's. (Snel's Law aka Descartes' Law - Index of Refraction).

What other "stuff" was Einstein wrong about?
