For example, in this book dan brown talks about Mary Magdaline and Jesus Christ. It says that it is possible that they both were married and quite possibly had a child. the name of this child is said to be sarah. the only problem with this is that it would bring to light the fact that jesus was a man and not exactly the son of God, something that is so hard to believe for maany people. But honestly would it be so bad if Jesus was just a man? Also there was controversy over this book because of a strictly catholic group called Opus Dei. Opus dei Practices such things as "corporal mortification". thats when a belt with barbs on it is tied around the thigh or leg to remind the person wearing it of Jesus's pain when he was being crucified on the cross. Also it involves a knotted rope being thrown on the back to creat lash marks untill the person bleeds. even though it is steering from the point it was an important thing to add. My question to all is, what would happen to all of those people who strongly believe in Jesus Christ being the son of God, If it was proven otherwise? Some say that there were extra books that were supposed to be about Jesus that were burrned Because it proved that Jesus was a man. I don't know about Jesus and Mary Magdeline being maried but I have previously read up on the theory that they had a child. The basis of this usually based on the actual meaning of the Holy Grail. The term was coined by the Knights of Templar as 'San Greal' but there are some that believe it was actually a code for 'San Real' - Holy Blood. And that in essence the Holy Grail was the descendant of Christ. Upon discovering the truth the Knights turned against the church and were severely and brutally dealt with. The theory goes on in that the church know this, but it would be destructive to its very foundations. So it was covered up, for example by portraying Mary Magdeline as a prostitute. daydreama Posted January 17, 2004 Author Share Posted January 17, 2004 Re: Dan brown and the Da'vinci code Think of it like this Jesus was aa Jew so jews at that time believed that the average man should have been married by that age and it was looked down apon by those heads of church if a man was not married. thats why i think it was true the jesus and mary magdaline were married. as of sarah, after Jesus died Mary was with child . she fled to a far off town because she feared for her life. she gave birth in private and tried to keep a low profile. sarah was known to have healing powers and went about the town healing people. then one day, out of nowhere she disapeared. it its interesting that you brought up the "sang real". sang real can be known has holy blood or much better known as The "holy grail". Most people think that the Holy grail is a cup. what if it is a person that everybody is looking for? the ones of someone who died long ago, either sarah or Mary magdaline. what are your feelings on this?
