RainmanTime
From: http://quake.wr.usgs.gov/recenteqs/Quakes/ustybq.htm A light earthquake occurred at 1:53:18 PM (PDT) on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. The magnitude 4.9 event occurred 129 km (80 miles) W of Petrolia, CA. The hypocentral depth is 10 km ( 6 miles). I have not made my usual CA earthquake prediction based on my spring/fall "earthquake season" theory and model. Mostly because I have just been too busy with work, home improvements, and designing my CO ranch. However, I would suggest you take note of this quake off of NorCal today. Typically, the fall earthquake season window corresponding to my model opens in mid-September and closes in late OCT or early NOV, depending upon average temperatures. There have been some decent-sized quakes (>3.5) just south of the US-Mexico border in the last 2 weeks as well. More data to validate my model... And for the record, I believe the window will close on this fall's season on NOV 5th. As for magnitudes, I believe a "big one" is still within the realm of possibility (at least a 6.0 and could go as high as 7.1). RMT

RainmanTime
A light earthquake occurred at 7:26:43 AM (PDT) on Tuesday, October 24, 2006. The magnitude 4.4 event occurred 67 km (41 miles) W of Petrolia, CA. The hypocentral depth is 6 km ( 4 miles). It is apparant to me that scientific modeling and analysis pays dividends. I am pretty much convinced that my thermal heating rate theory for "earthquake seasons" in the spring and fall is a "good" theory. Now I have to better crack the ability to predict magnitudes and location along a fault line. RMT
RainmanTime
A light earthquake occurred at 7:56:43 AM (PST) on Friday, November 3, 2006. The magnitude 4.4 event occurred 9 km (5 miles) SW of Ocotillo, CA. The hypocentral depth is 14 km ( 8 miles). Just keeping track of the larger earthquakes in my prediction area. This one is near the US-Mexico border. RMT
