Scientists create cloak of invisibility http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061019/ap_on_sc/cloak_of_invisibility;_ylt=AuVUMZst5rY_aJwKAo.mIGoPLBIF;_ylu=X3oDMTA2Z2szazkxBHNlYwN0bQ--

WASHINGTON - A team of American and British researchers has made a Cloak of Invisibility. Well, OK, it's not perfect. Yet. But it's a start, and it did a pretty good job of hiding a copper cylinder.

In this experiment the scientists used microwaves to try and detect the cylinder. Like light and radar waves, microwaves bounce off objects making them visible and creating a shadow, though it has to be detected with instruments.

Its always microwaves! :)

This is no secret Cig… This technology has been around for years already… In fact I've seen it used in Israel where I've witnessed Israeli soldiers walk a short distance into the desert to a covert army base and just disappear using the optical illusion mirage effect… It looks like they just disappear into thin air...

Mirage technology is nothing new to the effects of "light"… We havent invented anything new here, we simply keep rediscovering…

I would like to add that one to a past post of mine from the G-d thread, but I can't edit it any longer…

I wasnt't "getting" at you for posting it, I was only giving my opinion on it. Currently it is disrupting how radar waves bounce back (or rather pass around/refracted off the object or person. Its not talking about manipulating photons, Only that it might be a 'possibility' at some point. At least this is what they are saying.

Who is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark or the man afraid of the light?

Ever since we crawled out of that primordial slime, that's been our unifying cry, "More light"… Sunlight... Torchlight... Candlelight... Neon, incandescent lights that banish the darkness from our caves to illuminate our roads, the insides of our refrigerators... Big floods for the night games at Soldier's Field… Little tiny flashlights for those books we read under the covers when we're supposed to be asleep... Light is more than watts and footcandles… Light is metaphor… Light is knowledge, light is life... Oh how glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains...

For any sensible person will remember that the eyes may be confused in two ways - by a change from light to darkness or from darkness to light, and will recognize that the same thing happens to the soul...

If there is one spot of sun spilling onto the floor, a CAT will find it and soak it up... :)
