creedo299
Please take my survey about both less advanced and then more advanced, like human bots. In some way this, might intereact with time travel potentials? Instructions, say what you want to say, dont hold back your opinions.Do not chat in this thread: There is a selection of bots, from many Japanese companies. How do you feel about a walking home bot, to help at your household? ALso, do you feel that this bot would be a help. a hinderance, or even a threat to you, as a human? Say what you want to say, as it looks as if they will be makeing a debut, one day? Please and thanks
iridium
How do you feel about a walking home bot, to help at your household? Not sure if a biped would be the most efficient. What would be the purpose of a walker, other than to make it seem more human-like? I'd say a track base or wheel based model would be better. ALso, do you feel that this bot would be a help. a hinderance, or even a threat to you, as a human? I feel it would be a help if used correctly. If I spend more time/energy just making sure the bot did its job correctly, then it would be a hinderance. If I could "set it and forget it" then it would be a help. A threat? Not unless my bots main function was home security...then maybe. There are already vaccuum cleaner bots, but not lawn mower bots...why? More risk with a spinning blade than a rotating brush I'd say. bogz
If they plug themselves in to recharge, I want one just to see it do that. Wow. It would only be a hinderance if it interrupted me when i working at home, called me at the office, had poor voice recognition, was high maintenance, misread my facial expressions, or broke my dishes. RainmanTime
There are already vaccuum cleaner bots There sure are, and they work great! I saw that Irobot.com recently came out with the companion (which I successfully predicted over a year ago) called the Scooba. It mops where Roomba sweeps. Pretty soon my house is gonna be a little commune of bots... and my dog is already getting scared with just Roomba! RMT
