KerrTexas
""" Megrahi, 57, is the only person convicted of the bombing, in which a Pan Am jet carrying 259 passengers -- most of them American -- was blown up over Lockerbie in Scotland in December 1988, killing all those on board and 11 people on the ground. After years of wrangling and sanctions, Libya handed the former intelligence agent over for trial and he was sentenced by a special Scottish court sitting in the Netherlands in 2001. He was freed on Thursday because of terminal prostate cancer. """ Any opinion's on the release of the Lockerbie Bomber ?
Packerbacker
You know those green and yellow BP gas stations? British Petroleum. Libya has a supply of what is called "light, sweet" crude oil and is controlled by A dictator. The dictator wants the person in question released from a British Prison. Let's make a deal.
RainmanTime
It was allegedly done for "compassionate reasons." Hmmph. And what are the "compassionate reasons" behind his decision to bomb a bunch of innocent people to death on an airplane? To me, it smells like a deal between the UK and Libya. But that is just my gut feeling. RMT
