Itheblaze
Aired March 2nd, 1962, The Kanamits, 9ft tall aliens, arrive on Earth with one lofty goal: To Serve Man. They end war, they end famine. They make us wonder, what's the catch? People are boarding their ships left and right to travel millions of light years to the wonders home planet of the gentle giants. As the show comes to a close we watch as the star scientist{Richard L. Bare} is joyfully boarding the ship when his fellow scientist frantically yells."Stop! Dont't go! We've deciphered the code! To Serve Man, it's a cookbook!" The Kanamit shoves the foolish scientist the rest of the in and slams the entrance. What if they are wolves in sheep clothing. What will you do? GLaDOS
That is terrible tv. No color, poor special effects, and low quality. This AI is not pleased. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C40exiOH9XE

Wicked
I love The Twilight Zone! One of the first television shows that helped to expand my thinking beyond what we know to be true. So many classic episodes, but I do remember this one in particular.
PaulaJedi
Reminds me of the Ood from Doctor Who, who serve humans. Don't judge him by his tentacles. The Ood are very nice.
Wicked
What I wouldn't give to grab that thing on the sides of it's face and lay a deep kiss into those lovely tentacles...
Itheblaze
One of the ones my Mother still remembers in detail, to this day, (She's 70), is episode 91- 3/16/1962, " Little Girl Lost". A six-year-old girl, who can be clearly heard, but not seen, has vanished into a forth dimension located at the wall by the head of her bed. She's trapped there as the hole between two worlds rapidly closes. My Mother, 22 at the time, was watching it on the telly, being aired for the first time, in utter suspense. She said they presented it in a way that made it plausible.[DOUBLEPOST=1412298315][/DOUBLEPOST]Wait a minute! Lol! She was born in 44'! She was 18! Tajaz11
Lordy, I'm laying in bed watching the twilight zone. My favorite episode so far is, "Monsters are Due in Maple Street". It is a very true sentiment of how humans act when they are frightened and scared for their lives. How easy it is to turn on one another when a group of people start blaming, segregating, one another. Great episode.

In middle school English class, we got to act that episode out as a skit, it was awesome! And I agree with Cosmo, the Twilight Zone is one of the greatest shows of all time, way better than the crap they play on tv these days.

It is crazy just how much people haven't changed at all over the past 50 something years. People still act the same towards people, the unknown still scares people. Although we have advanced in technology, it has done little to advance our way of thinking.Pretty awesome you got to act that episode out in school! I'm pretty envious! Absolutely true, I wonder if human nature could ever change for the good. The skit was awesome, I think I played the part of the fat neighborwho ends up shooting the innocent man. haha I'm guessing our English teacher was a fan of the show. pafjlh
This is one of the best episodes of the Twilight Zone no doubt about that. But it does pose a good question about who we should trust. Yes, these Aliens coudl come in peace but maybe it might be a good idea to keep our guard up with them if they come along promising to make peace and solve all our problems. Why, what is in it for them as this episode pointed out, they may have motives. After all, why would they care to help the earth solve its problems, unless they wanted something in return. So, as fascinated as I am about aliens from other planets I would still hope we would be cautious about such a visitor showing up.
