A physicist has developed a theoretical model that complements the nearly 100-year-old conventional model of cosmic expansion. According to the new theory, the Big Bang did not occur 13.8 billion years ago -- instead, the birth of the universe stretched into the infinite past. This view holds that the masses of all particles constantly increase. The scientist explains that instead of expanding, the universe is shrinking over extended periods of time. thegrey1 Posted April 1, 2015 Share Posted April 1, 2015 The big bang theory will someday go the way of man-made global warming, but the public will be slow to catch on because people in lab coats will be looking smarter and more important than the rest of us, while insisting that : "... this in no way renders the previous view of the Big Bang "invalid," In the words of Puck: "Lord what fools these mortals be!"
