Guest Sm00th 0perator
I have a theory that I would like to bounce around and see what you guys think. When John Titor told his story in 2000 & 2001, he mentioned the Wright Brothers 1st flight in 1910. Was it a deliberate mistake? Many writers from history have used symbolism & hidden meanings to tell their stories, using subtext and even satire so those who are so inclined will "Get It" Dante (Dante's inferno), Chaucer, Shakespeare, Mark Twain, Joseph Conrad, Jack London, & Jonathan Swift were only a few. What if Titor was doing the same thing- using subtext as a warning of things to come? After all, he did mention his favorite writers as; Conrad, London & Twain. Here are some things that were going on in 1910. Then form your own conclusions. Shipping barons controlled a large share of the world’s economic power before the Titanic sank, turning their industry upside down January - In Greece, the Military League forces parliament and George I of Greece to summon National Assembly to revise their Constitution. May 6 - George V becomes King of the United Kingdom September 1 - the Vatican introduces a compulsory oath against modernism ] November 7 - First air flight for the purpose of delivering commercial freight occurs between Dayton, Ohio and Columbus, Ohio by the Wright Brothers and department store owner Max Moorehouse. November 20 - Mexican Revolution: Francisco I. Madero denounces President Porfirio Díaz, declares himself president, and calls for a revolution to overthrow the government of Mexico. On October 1, 1910, in the middle of a strike called to unionize the metal trades of the city, the Times building was dynamited. The south wall facing Broadway Street collapsed, causing the second floor to also collapse under the weight of its machines onto the first floor. The first floor then collapsed into the basement, destroying the heating plant and gas mains. The building, with many of its workers trapped inside, was soon an inferno. There was a loss of life of at least 20, and about the same number were injured, some of them permanently. In an unusual move the mayor hired a private investigator who was able to implicate a number of men in the bombing. These included Ortie McManigal, James B. McNamara, and his brother John J. McNamara (secretary-treasure r of the International Union of Bridge and Structural Iron Workers). There was a John McNamara (who was Secretary of State) under Lyndon Johnson & there was also a Robert McNamara) (Now, remember the name McNamara) In 1962: Operation Northwoods was a plan by the highest US military authorities to create a series of incidents involving loss of American and Cuban exile lives through the actions of phony Cubans in order to persuade the US public to go to war against Cuba. The document detailing this plan were obtained from Defense Seceretary McNamara's file and were first published in Australia by Jon Elliston (Psy War on Cuba: The Declassified History of US Anti-Castro Propaganda, Ocean Press, 1999) with no reaction at all from the US. They were used again by ABC News journalist James Bamford in his history of the NSA (Body of Secrets, Doubleday, 2001), causing some minor notice among historians. Bamford was tipped off as to their existence by a friend on the Assassination Records Review Board, which was formed after Oliver Stone's film JFK raised the profile of records from that era. From ABC News: "Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities. The plans were developed as ways to trick the American public and the international community into supporting a war to oust Cuba's then new leader, communist Fidel Castro. America's top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba," and, "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation. " Details of the plans are described in Body of Secrets (Doubleday), a new book by investigative reporter James Bamford about the history of America's largest spy agency, the National Security Agency. However, the plans were not connected to the agency, he notes. The plans had the written approval of all of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and were presented to President Kennedy's defense secretary, Robert McNamara, in March 1962. But they apparently were rejected by the civilian leadership and have gone undisclosed for nearly 40 years. The book mentioned by Titor according to the book: "A Time Traveller's Tale" mentioned: "Nine Nations of North America" In part, tells the story of how Johnson was misled by McNamara and Westmoreland. And by the way, in numerology 2036 breaks down to 9/11 Just something to think about. But I’m sure that most of you will see these things as amazing coincidences- and others may not see a connection at all Then again, incredible coincidences all the same. So, what do you guys think? Guest ZPE
i think you can find coincidences and make connections between so many events that these things aren't worth too much of an investment in a persons, or mine at least, time. i'm sure if you dug deep enough you could concoct a story relating the overthrow of the mexican government and denouncement of President Porfirio Diaz and this so called civil war or whatever that so many time travellers use. Or perhaps one of the Millitary League forcing a change in the constitution of greece. They probably wouldn't be as strong as the Times bombing, Operation Northwoods, 9/11 connection but you could make them.
